Borrowing Policy
Circulation Details
- Books, magazines, CDs, and kits may be borrowed for two weeks. Any book with a hold on it cannot be renewed.
- There is an overdue fine of $0.10 per day. There is a maximum fine of $10.00 per item.
- Materials placed in the book drop will be checked in as of the following business day.
- All overdue materials must be returned or paid for before other items are checked out.
- After a material is four weeks overdue the borrowers shall have a message placed on his/her patron record stating that: "Borrowing privileges will be suspended for all members of a family when any member has materials four weeks overdue."
- Books and magazines may be returned in the book drop when the Library is closed.
- Reserved items (books on hold) will be held for two days at the Circulation Desk after a patron has been notified by telephone that it is available. After two days the item will be passed on to the next patron the Reserve list and the patron who did not pick it up will be dropped to the end of the list.
- A general circulation item may be renewed twice for a total loan period of six weeks, if no reserve has been placed on that item.
