Summer Reading Program

Adventure Begins at Your Library

Each Summer we embark on an exciting reading journey known as the Summer Reading Program designed to keep children engaged in reading over their school break. From a festive kick-off event to an-end-of program-picnic each week is filled with reading logs, crafts, stickers, and prizes.

This year's theme is Adventure Begins at Your Library. Please check out our calendar and follow us on Facebook so you won't miss anything! All of our events and programs are for participants in the Summer Reading Program so please register and pick up a program packet with a full listing of events.

Some of the highlights of the program are as follows:

Steam Event for Kids: Moving Molecules in Balloons on Monday July 8th at 3PM.

Join Patsy Beaver, former 4th grade science teacher for this fun challenge of moving molecules inside balloons. Event to be held outside, weather permitting. For grades 3-6.

Please call to register 603-382-6733

This summer we will collect donations for the St. Anne's Food Pantry which serves residents of Danville and other area towns. Children may (gently) feed the big brown bear in the childrens room or bring items to the desk. The list of needed foods is available at the library and includes general canned and dry goods and other non-perishable items.

Here are George and Alanna DeShaw by the bear.

Speaking of bears, we are hosting Smokey the Bear Wednesday July 17th at 11 AM for a special story time and activities in honor of his 80th birthday!
